Is it Just Me?

Is it just me, or are there some really weird and often mean posts being added to our blogs? I got one today from June and the person said I was a petty gossip. Not sure if this person knows me or not! Smile

    It's not just you. I was told that my knees probably hurt because of picking up filthy coins from the street, that I ate too much pizza and ice cream, and that I was cheap, cheap, cheap in too many ways to count. Mostly on older posts. I don't know what's going on, but I do think there is a certain kind of person who just gets a kick out of being mean. And I think they are trolling sites like ours and adding spiteful comments to amuse themselves. They seem to be different from the many comments with embedded links, that are mostly clueless and off-base.

    I made the mistake earlier today of clicking on a teaser "breaking news" story about the Duchess of Sussex on another site. I read a disgusting, mean-spirited article. I would say it was full of half-truths, but in fact I doubt there was any truth in it at all. But the comments were even worse! People really scare me these days.

    But to get to the point -- no, you are not a petty gossip, you are obviously one of the kindest and most good-hearted people here, and the meanie who left that comment couldn't hold a candle to you.

    I haven't seen those! What is upsetting to me is that it's very difficult, actually impossible, to delete these comments since th blogs are broken in numerous ways. I'm sorry you are getting mean spirited comments on your blog. We know you are not that type of person.

    You are so sweet,can just tell from reading your posts. All of the projects which you do. The knitting of hats etc. You sound like a very charitable and caring person. Just try and ignore a mean troll. I enjoy your blog.

    Thanks, everyone. I thought maybe it was something I said that brought out the worst. I'm getting tired of deleting comments from those that have their links in them that I'm sure are advertising. I wasn't looking for compliments, but you all are so kind!

    I was getting those kind of posts for awhile. I responded to one, deleted one, and ignored the rest. They've stopped for awhile now.
