Homegrown Tomatoes!

With the recent onset of hot weather, my husband's tomatoes are starting to ripen. We've been blessed with a few cherry tomatoes -- enough for our salads made with his home grown lettuce. But today was the day he could pick his vine ripened regular tomatoes. So far, only two were ready, but we are looking forward to tasting them.

    My husband has been picking and eating his tomotoes every night too! That and fresh corn on the cob.

    Lots of green tomatoes here in Connecticut! But I'm eating lettuce, string beans and zucchini.

    The photo startled me out for a moment until I realized it was your husband. Here I'd been thinking you were a woman and then for a second I thought you were a man because of the photo, until you said it was your husband. Internet perceptions can be weird and easily turned on their heads.

    I didn't get my garden started in time, thus no tomatoes, no beans. There will be some mini pumpkins in a couple months! Not much to work with this year. So I'm a bit jealous.
