I was an educator by day, but remain a frugalista and foodie by night.
I worked in education over 30 years, but am happily retired. I live in Central Illinois and strive to save money when I can, but still enjoy a full life. I love to read and do crafts as well as genealogy.
A few years back, an acquaintance celebrated her 50th birthday with a big bash on Oct 30, and in honor of her request of "no gifts", her friends brought her 50 carved jack-o-lanterns instead. She had them all lit for Halloween the next evening. It was very cool, and enjoyed by all!!
That is impressive! I hope these decorations lead the Great Pumpkin to rise out of their pumpkin patch, or go down their chimney, or whatever it is that Linus expects it to do. (I also hope that they have the insurance of a side or back door, or else they are totally stuck in there!)
